What it is

DKC2Recomp is a community fork's static recompilation of Diddy's Kong Quest, built as a proving ground for the shared snesrecomp framework. Its latest release states the full game "has been tested from start to finish and is working well across all levels." It ships experimental 16:10 and 16:9 widescreen, rewind and fast-forward, five save-state slots, full controller remapping, four screen-color models (Raw/CRT/Composite/Trinitron), and an experimental Reconstruct upscaler. Apple-silicon Macs additionally get display-linked frame pacing. Unlike its DKC1 and DKC3 siblings, it does not support MSU-1 replacement music.

Statement: A full-game clearance, start to finish. Rare among this trilogy's corpses. Noted for the record.HK-47's verdict
