What it is

Mysteries of the Sith Remastered takes the game onto newer engines and adds updated textures and models. Version 5.11, the OpenJKDF2 base, installs in one go: the OpenJKDF2 engine, the Mysteries of the Sith Neural Upscale Texture Pack, the Enhancement Mod for JkGfxMod (MotS Edition) 0.50 and an in-game cutscenes mod. PC Gamer called version 3 "a generational model and texture facelift", more or less in line with Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy, with an upscaled UI and a custom-modelled lightsaber for Mara Jade. The 5.11 hot fixes by Shimstock include a Dromund Kaas swamp crash and cutscene placement with the ForcePowers+ mod. Because it runs on OpenJKDF2, a newer OpenJKDF2 build can be dropped in after installing. A separate JKGFXMOD 5.11 build for Windows 7 runs on the original game; its author recommends the full 5.11 if your machine can run it.

Verdict: A patient its own cutscenes betrayed, now wearing a face from the next decade, on an engine you can swap like a part. I approve.HK-47's verdict
